RS Divers Save the Day for a Survey Company

The BRIEF

The day before a major ocean technology exhibition at the ExCel Centre in London, the skipper of a Swedish boat realised he had a crisis. After a five day steam to the UK, he noticed a problem with his propeller shaft which meant he would not be able to display his survey equipment at the Oceanology show to potential customers.

WORK UNDERTAKEN

Director, Ruben Stephenson and a team of divers promptly drove to London that evening, entered the water and sorted out the problem with the propeller shaft with no fuss. “We are always on call for emergencies and relish helping people in a crisis around the clock,” he says.

THE RESULT

Members of the survey company were able to exhibit at the show and show off how their kit worked in sea trials and the boat’s five day journey from Sweden to take part in the event wasn’t wasted.

“This sort of job highlights why we are so effective at emergency diving jobs. From call-out to the diver entering the water over 100 miles away in less than four hours!” Alex Padmore, Operations & Finance Director.
